After reading my classmate"s responses, i now have a better understanding of the poem. My classmate, caitlin, helped me to understand why satan was kicked out of heaven in the first place. She explained that satan was not happy with his position and wanted to be the best of the best. This is very similar to the original sin of adam and eve. God"s authority over them and wanted the power to know good and evil. Do people in heaven today try to overrule. One thing that truly surprised me was the portrayal of satan as a hero figure. I honestly did not even realize that"s what was happening until after i took the quiz and then reread some of the poem. It is definitely not the typical image that many believers and even non-believers have of the devil.
