Audience centered presentation speaking is when a speaker adapts to the audience at every state of the presentational speaking process. Purpose is to teach, analyze, describe, compare/contrast and/or illustrate a topic. Purpose is to create, modify or change an attitude, belief or behavior. Central idea: a definitive point about a topic. Informative presentation: the central idea is what you want the audience to understand. It"s the overarching idea that drives your presentation. Persuasive presentation: the central idea is what you want your audience to believe and/or do. It"s the overarching persuasive idea that drives your presentation and your definitive point on your topic. Initial preview: builds off of the central idea an d is phrased i the form of an assertion.
