Each source trait is reflected in a number of surface traits: cardinal traits= so basic that all a person"s activities can be traced to the trait. Factor analysis= statistical technique used to correlate multiple measurements and identify general underlying factors. For example imaginative people are inventive, original, curious, creative, innovative and ingenious.
