Document Summary

Scientific method: observation come up with hypothesis then make a prediction and then observe again so see if it matches the prediction. A law tells us what happens under certain circumstances while a theory explains and tells us the phenomena. Hidden assumptions: assumptions made when you aren"t aware of them. Symmetry: when operations can be perform on an object without changing its appearance. There are three types of symmetry: rotational, reflection and translational. Rotational is when the object has been rotated. Reflection is when one half of the object is the mirror of the other half. Translation is when mathematical expressions of law must be independent of time. Universe: all the matter and energy presented in space and time and where all the events occur. Atoms: building blocks of the universe and are made of protons, neutrons and electrons. Principle of casualty: whenever an event a causes another event b, all observes see event a happening first.
