Sry - gene located on y chromo directs diff. of gonads. Causes substance tdf, which makes gonads into testes in males. After ovaries and testes diff. , prod. diff. sex hormones. Wolf an ducts degenerate in females, mullerian turns into fallopian tubes, etc. Mullerian ducts degenerate in males, wolf an ducts supported by testosterone turn into male sex stuff. By 12 weeks after conception, gender of fetus is clear from genitals.
