Ties the various stakeholders of an organization together. Four primary types: economic, political, integration, and pattern maintenance. Economic orientation- organizations that manufacture products and/or offer services for customers: ex. Small business administration in the united states account for 99. 7% of all u. s. employer firms and employ about half of private sector employees. Political orientation- organizations that generate and distribute power and control within society: elected local, state, and federal officials and police and military forces. There are over 40 third-party political organizations in the u. s.
