Trojans rush in and greeks retreat to their ships. Poseidon slips into greek ranks as seer kalchas cheers greeks on and promises them victory. Diomedes, odysseus, and agamemnon are wounded, and want to return home hard to do so when their ships are being attacked and there is no honor in retreat.
