Polygyny means multiple wives and polyandry means multiple husbands. Polyandry is found in tibet/ nepal, southern india and sri lanka. Fraternal polyandry: a group of brothers marry one woman. Associated polyandry: any system in which polyandry is open to men who are not necessarily brothers. Begins monogamously and first husband is principal husband in terms of authority.
