Humans learn about depth when we learn to crawl. Monocular depth cues- distance cues that enable the perception of depth with one eye. Linear perspective- outlines converge as distance increases. Multiple cooperating cues: interposition- one object that is closer blocks the view of another object behind it, texture gradient- texture of objects becomes less apparent as the object is further away.
