Females prefer older men, high status men, industrious, ambitious = resources. Multiple preferences evolved to assess a single aspect of mate quality. Some aspects of face/body attractiveness linked, but not all. Facial attractiveness is more varied + 1 study found that highly attractive face + ugly body is lower than vice versa. Facial attractiveness ranked higher than whr for all factors, but perceived pregnancy. Short term vs long term relationship goals changed attraction to partners. Ratings of facial attractiveness better predictor than ratings of bodily attractiveness of rating given to images of face and body combined.
