Why or why not: ethical determinism and psychological determinism are somewhat similar, but differ slightly. In ethical determinism, it is the belief that people choose what they think is good. In psychological determinism is the view that a person chooses what they most desire. I find an in compatibilist account of free will model to be the most plausible. This model states that a person or their will must be the ultimate originator of their choices or actions-if the will is itself caused or determined, the it is not free.
