Both academic and applied anthropologists study migration from rural areas to cities across national boundaries. Medical anthropology is the cross cultural, biocultural study of health problems and conditions, disease, illness, disease theories, and health care systems. Includes anthropologists from all 4 subfields and have academic and applied dimensions. Increased equity- reduction in absolute poverty, with a more even distribution of wealth.
