Learning outcomes: role of wiki as a virtual collaborative tool, understand how to develop a wiki, understand the mosaic approach to online writing and list the writing attributes of good websites. What is a wiki: a type of web site that allows anyone to easily, add, remove, edit and change the available content, ease of interaction, operation and change-tracking abilities make wikis an effective tool for collaborative authoring. How wiki got its name: hawaiian work meaning "quick" / "fast, wiki-wiki is the name of the bus line in honolulu international airport. We may have to use fewer words on a screen than on a page. We have to reconceptualise the screen page, where the text may be closer to a printed. We may have to break up content into information blocks connected by hypertext links.
