What is Graphic Design?
We are communicators.
A graphic designer is a communicator: someone who takes ideas and gives them
visual forms so that others can understand them.
Designers imagery, symbols, type, colour and materials are used to represent the
conveyed ideas organise them in a unified experience to evoke.
Assimilates verbal concepts and gives them form.
“Giving form” is a discipline that integrates knowledge and skills with intuition
applied creatively.
What does a Graphic Designer need to know?
Must understand Semiotics
Define. Semiotics
The Process and Relationships inherent in perception and interpretation of meaning
through visual and verbal material.
Must have expertise the flow of information alphabetic design typography

Analytical and Technical image making to achieve aesthetic cohesion and dynamism
