When the goals involve learning, we talk about self-regulated learning (zimmerman, 2002) Self-regulated learners: have a combination of academic learning skills and self- control that makes learning easier, so they are more motivated, in other words they have the skill and the will to learn. Sr learner is proactive in learning efforts: Are aware of: strengths and limitations, best learning settings, what hinders learning. Guided by personally set goals and task-related strategies. To continue to improve their methods of learning.
