Power over bodies to ensure healthy, strong population: Common rules of dress: no winter jackets, non-religious headgear, hoods, beachwear or other distracting" clothing, gang wear/colours. Common rules of dress: no ripped/torn clothing, clothing promoting sex or alcohol/drugs, no jewelry that could be a religious symbol, extreme subcultural styles. Line between celebrating diversity and instilling a shared ethos. Justifications: shared common identity, symbols may be offensive, symbols may be oppressive, symbols may be disruptive.
