Age itself leads to inequitable experiences for children and youth. A hierarchy of relative privilege based on power, property & prestige (henslin et al. Differences among people that become structured or part of the structure of everyday life (grabb, e. 1998) A recurring part of how people experience life and interact with one another. Biological determinists (darwin, g. stanley hall, freud, erikson, piaget, mead) Argue that youth inequalities are natural" based upon sociobiology. Different parts work together for smooth-functioning of society. Dysfunction" is natural - youthhood as rebellion" & turbulence" (i. e. , hall"s storm and stress) Promote idea that youth" a necessary stage and placing limits on them is necessary in order to be successful in next stage adulthood.
