Confirms that army is doing its job conquering and protecting. Dacian leader commits suicide in order to avoid being paraded around rome to be executed. History is written by the victors we know nothing about the dacians. Trajan wants his people to know what the army is doing, they"re doing their jobs, the people can be reassured.
