Document Summary
Individuals who were born in the 90"s know that as growing up as a young child, there was no access to social media platforms and internet was not readily accessible to all users as it is now. How you are raised as a child will mould your personality as you grow into an adult and it will foreshadow a pathway based on how you learn to speak, socialize, and act as a child. The simple answer to this discussion is no, as unreasonable as that may sound, there are different ways social media can impact an individual, either positively or negatively. For some individuals, social media can actually improve social skills and help them establish a larger network to help them socialize even more. However, for many other individuals, social media and other online platforms could be acting as a barrier of their insecurity and shyness of face- to-face conversations with others.
