Socialism and communism came during the industrial revolution. Children where sometimes sexually abused and exposed to alcoholism. No one was concerned about human rights or working conditions. Workers were fined for any problem or thing they did wrong. Out of this activist workers began demanding better rights and conditions, Long hours but they did not want the system to go away because they needed the money. Communists wanted to get rid of the system. He had some religious influence but was not a religious person. Was born poor and stayed poor most of his life. It came out in a time europe was in flames. Was kicked out of germany and many other countries he went to, until he went to england. In 1867 he wrote das kapital (capital) to try and understand capitalism. He used the money to fund karl marx.
