Stress is our mental and physical responses to the demands placed upon us. Most stress is self imposed and is usually the result of an internal state of emotional tension that occurs in response to the various demands of living. A stressor is any physical, social , or mental event or condition that forces us to adjust to it. As you try to adjust to stressors strain may develop which is the wear and tear on the body. Eustress is perceived as good stress because it potentially results in positive change. Distress is stress perceived as bad stress because it potentially results in negative change. You cannot prevent distress or eustress however you can come up with coping strategies.
