Be able to take either side of an argument. Reality is subjective based on experiences of individuals as opposed to something that exists outside the individuals. Behaviours are based on our agency as opposed to a macro level in which choices are guided by constraints of society. If we define a situation as real, then it is real in its consequences - wi. We can discriminate against people based on traits that we perceive to be negative, judging their worth based on our perception of it. We create these shared definitions to define people as more or less worthy, and more or less human. Ex. in north america, the colour of your skin is used to diferentially value a person. Sex is used for a similar purpose - women are valued less than men as proven by the fact that women are paid. People walking down the street talking to themselves.
