Ex bogaert, 2005 (relationship between puberty and father absence) could be some distortion there because you are relying on your memory. Interpreting the question (ppl may interpret it differently) Evidence: large % (2/3 or more) of uni students do not think that oral sex is having had sex. Some connected (nonfunctional) lie detectors (bogus pipeline) Ex number of partners (women reported more partners with lie detector) Ex of experiment (manipulate condition/variable, others held constant) Ex bogaert & hershberger (1999) penis and sex orientation study. About half inch difference between gay and heterosexual men. Research does not appeal to everybody (sex research doesn"t apply to a subset) When differences occur and when it matters most. Both given same sex and personality questions. Volunteers for 1st recruitment had more sex and liberal sex attitudes, also less rule following; breaks norms, more sensation seeking.
