Tissue under nail is effecting nail, drug penetrates with a low surface tension (ie. not distracted by water molecules or other liquids on the skin, focuses drug to the infection. ) Drug also has low infinity for keratin in the nail, infection in skin not nail. The lower the mic, the higher the drug potency. Mic very potent = no growth (least dilute)
