Expose child to a variety of experiences to add to vocabulary: the more social the better, people from lower socioeconomic statuses typically have less exposure and therefore do(cid:374)(cid:859)t lear(cid:374) as (cid:373)a(cid:374)(cid:455) (cid:449)ords. Work on several targets in each session: for kids with hearing loss, traditionally they work on several sounds at once they work on multiple targets for a few minutes then move on to other sounds. If speech sounds, work on them frequently, but briefly: do(cid:374)(cid:859)t sit a(cid:374)d do drill for 20-25 mins; throw these sounds in randomly during the session.
