Indeterminist view of causation (cid:272)ausality is(cid:374)"t hard/strict, most causality is probable/predictive causality. If its not necessary for y to follow x then it could be otherwise: causality is(cid:374)"t hard/strict; it is actually weak. Satyr considered chasing receptionist; decided against chasing her the first time around because the receptionist would probably scream and therefore bringing hench running. If i do this, this will follow, and this will follow from that (double inference=very rational) Satyr knew lying would get him off the hook- moral responsibility is coextensive with actions. Satyr is a selfish pleasure maker who wants to satisfy his needs as quickly as possible.
