Observation is a concept and a process involving interpretation and decision making. Observation is seeing with understanding, it involves being a sympathetic participant. Observation and response are utilized in reflective processes (mccallister & napper- Liking a work of art is the same as obtaining feelings or pleasure from it. Liking something and judging it are not different concepts: both are false. The philosophy that all knowledge is limited to self-experiences. Did you like it? vs. what did you see in this dance? . Feeling vs. need to correlated feeling-based responses with visible aspects under review. Dance analysis: body actions (body awareness, components (effort, context (sequences, timing, spatial pathways, relationship with others) Study of the body from the first-person: spatial-perceptual listening. Increase capacity for receiving and responding to sensory information: kinaesthetic listening. Moving beyond the individual and crosses social-cultural boundaries. Refers to the relationship our body has with nature and the environment: listening through the creative process.
