Post license safety surveillance: lots of over sight. Widespread use often results in previously unseen reactions and more adverse events: followed/tracked to see if there is a problem with the vaccination itself (specific batch, etc. ) Canadian adverse events following immunization surveillance system (caefiss: cause-and-effect. Seizures: common, caused by various vaccinations, one time only occurrence. Anaphylaxis: allergic reaction that can shut down breathing. Vaccine-strain systematic infection after administration of live vaccines to severely immune-compromised persons. Guillain-barre syndrome after inactivated influenze vaccine: neurological problems, psychological problems, depression, movements are painful, 1-2 cases within 5 million people. Fall-related injuries associated with syncope after vaccination: depending on where you fall, cause blood pressure, when getting vaccinated, doctors ask to sit quietly before officially leaving as it is a known side effect.
