Auguste d = first alzheimer patient discovered by dr. alzheimer. Difficulties with iadls and not badls: moderate stages. Agnosognosia-no longer are aware to what they are sick with. Loss of biographical memories, living in the present. Basic motor function are impaired, primitive reflexes emerge. Survival shortened by: malnutrition, dehydration, infections, inability to communicate needs. Death frequently die to pneumonia, myocardial infarction, septicsemia. They also encounter psychiatric symptoms such as delusions, capgras syndrome and hallucinations as well as depressive symptoms.
