Different groups, people or advocates have various motives for wanting to establish human rights. Capability approach-> first related to a response to problems of economic & social development. Dissatisfaction does not always count as a valid injustice: suggests that what matter is if, are people equally free to live well? the beginnings-> in the 1960"s it simply meant positive economic growth. The problem with this is that it only focuses on money; and you can increase this without actual helping the living of the average person. So, measured real changes in peoples lives through life expectancy, health and education. Index that could be used in every country and rank countries. Not just based on money but on aspects like education, health and poverty reduction etc Canada ranked #12 out of all countries in the world in. Life expectancy, years of schooling & per capita money.
