Serial killer != psychopath: just means you killed more than 1 person, the reason why you"ve killed might or might not make you a psychopath. Some schizophrenic are also psychopathic, but schizophrenia doesn"t make you psychopathic no matter how violent. Doesn"t mean psychopaths don"t have brain abnormalities. Psychopath has to have relative good cognitive abilities, and understand the difference between right and wrong: he began killing after his grandfather"s death, strong emotions not a psychopath. Characteristic of a psychopath is blunted emotions: uncontrollable urges != psychopath. Psychopath understands what he"s doing is wrong, but doesn"t care. If it"s an uncontrollable urge that makes them do it, not a psychopath. Son of sam: claimed a demon made him do it, auditory hallucinations != psychopath. You"re doing those things for some other reason other than the fact you"re doing it because you want to regardless of whether it"s right or wrong: satanic rituals not a psychopath.
