Sociology of sexualities the study of sexuality. Categories of inequality looking at sexuality as social construct and what we make up as humans and rules we make up from it. Persecution of homosexuality legislative change factors in the acceptance- age, religion. Sex- is your biological gender, you can either be male, female, intersex. Man and woman these gender roles are socially constructed and comprised of feelings and attitudes that we associate with feminism and masculinity. We have to play and show it to world. Includes physiological, emotional, and social processes lust, companionship, romance. Both masculine and feminine traits exist in all of us preference social norms. Heterosexuality society tells us we have to choose a side of spectrum. Sexual scripts- how we behave and act on sexual desires. An expressed preference for sexual partners of the opposite sex. Expressed preference is not necessarily the same as genuine desired a spectrum.
