The smooth er is where the bulk of lipids is synthesized. There are 5 distinct types of compartments of golgi. The cis part accepts vesicles that are embedded from the er. The trans part is where the sorting takes place. Each cisterna is functionally distinct from the other because there are different enzymes in each. If you are moving something against its gradient (protons here from cytosol to the lumen of the lysosomes) requires energy. Hydrogen peroxide is being produced as a result. It is too toxic for the cell to keep around. The catalase is being built in the peroxisome. The cytoskeleton determines the shape of the cell. Actin filaments are concentrated around the plasma membrane of the cell. Microtubules spread from the nucleus of the cell outwards. The most magnification happens in the objective lens. From b to c, we have empty magnification. The smaller the resolution ability d of the microscope the better.
