There are 5 types of powers that o (other) can have on p (person). The fact that p can be rewarded by o means that p will be more productive, and o is aware of that. O knows that he can reward p and therefore can tease him. This means that p knows that o has more power over him and can use force and aggression to show his power. If p is under the average rate of productivity, o can use coercive power and fire him. Authority that is often referred to as laws or obligations . For example, different cultures have different views on ages at which one is allowed to do something. In organizations, one person has the right to direct the actions of the other. We sometimes admire one person because they have so much power that they inspire us and we look up to them.
