At the age of 21, neil marshall (photo: left) was diagnosed with schizophrenia. One day, his brother asked him to be his best man at his wedding. This also gave marshall the confidence to enroll at brock university in. Marshall got 100% on the midterm exam while two-thirds of the class failed. Marshall"s goal in telling his story is not to encourage other people to follow delusions. On antipsychotic medication and feeling discouraged he dropped out of his computer science degree at the university of waterloo. Lethargic from the antipsychotic drugs he was taking, he lay on the couch all day, and came to accept that he never would be able to do anything of his life. things began to change for marshall. Expected to give a toast at the wedding, he was motivated to get up and back into shape. This is when he realized that he could truly accomplish something if he put his mind to it. mathematics.
