Biochemistry is the scientific discipline that seeks to explain life at the molecular level. Prions a molecule that is able to self-replicate and can potentially cause disease. The organism has a liver, which is made up of cells. Some molecules in the mitochrondria allows for different reactions that are compartmentalized. Although there are many molecules in the body, not all of them are in the same place. Elements in the body: only a small subset of the known elements are found in living systems. What is shown is the relative abundance of the molecules in the human body. These are stable elements, not reactive or radioactive that can be dangerous to the body. Different ions or transition metals are rare but are useful in life in trace amounts. For example, hemogloblin use irons to transport oxygen around the body. Vitalism is the concept that living things have a special vital force and only living things can create living compounds.
