Nemesis and Planet X NEMESIS – COMPANION STAR - Hypothessis proposed that our Sun had a companion star o Beyond outer limits of solar system o Orbit brings it close to Oort cloud every 25 million years o Can cause comets to fall into inner Solar System o But none have been found by telescopes PLANET X - An astronomical body that causes shift in Oort cloud as it orbits around the Sun o The body is a planet lying within the bounds of the Oort cloud, but outside Kuiper belt  No evidience has been found MOVEMENT THROUGH THE GALACTIC PLANE - Solar system orbits around centre of Milky Way Galaxy
