Cancer kills more than anything else right now in canada. It will get even bigger as time goes on because people are living longer. If you make it past 14 without cancer, you"ll most likely be fine up until you reach late 40s/50s. Big 5: lung, colorectal, breast, prostate, pancreas. Besides leukemias being prevalent, epithelial cancers are really what kills people statistically. Almost every cell type that exist, there are tumours that exist with it; with possible exception: cardiac tissue. In america, a person a minute dies of cancer. Lung cancer kills more people each year than breast, colon, and prostate cancers combined (+ pancreatic cancer) & more than 70% of lung cancers are smoking associated. Lung cancer, by the time you notice it, you"re short of breath and you"re coughing blood at those points, its really too late: maybe that"s why not much money goes here.
