Document Summary

Anaphylaxis: total collapse of the circulatory system that can lead to death. A reaction to some substance that can give rise to specific symptoms because they give rise to antibodies that form in the body. Allergy; the (cid:271)ody"s i(cid:373)(cid:373)u(cid:374)e syste(cid:373) (cid:373)akes a (cid:373)istake a(cid:374)d atta(cid:272)ks a foreig(cid:374) su(cid:271)sta(cid:374)(cid:272)e that actually presents no danger. Upon meeting the allergen, the next time, they engulf it and try to get rid of it. The reaction between the allergen and the antibody is what is manifested in allergic reactions. E. g. , our eyes water because our system tries to wash away the allergen. The body attempts to get rid of the foreign materials. The most allergenic foods are nuts, shellfish, fish, etc. Because the first exposure just riggers antibody formation. On subsequent exposure, you get an allergen/antibody reaction, and this is what causes the allergic reaction.
