Document Summary

Cerebrospinal fluid csf = produced in ventricles by specialized. Tissue choroid plexus & flows through ventricular system. *choroid plexus = red spongy tissue that produce csf in ventricles continuously. So csf = composition similar to blood plasma but not entirely. Because choroid plexus alter plasma slightly for brain. Frontal & parietal & occipital & twist into temporal. *massa intermedia = where 2 thalami touch medially: 5 foramen. Foramen of monro - 1 interventricular foramen connect lateral ventricles to 3rd ventricle. From which csf flows out of 4th ventricle. 1- csf flows out of lateral ventricles from foramen of monro to 3rd ventricle. 2- csf flows out of 3rd ventricle from aquaduct of sylvius to 4th ventricle. 3- csf flows out of 4th ventricle from 3 openings into cisterns. 2 lateral foramen of lushka & 1 caudal foramen of magendie [back of brainstem] 4- csf flows from cisterns around brain within subarachnoid space. *ventricles = landmarks for where other structures located.
