The course was designed to provide students with: a solid understanding of the contemporary international business issues facing industry in the global economy, an appreciation of how companies - whether they are based in north/south america, asia, Europe, or africa - may respond to challenges in a way that will lead to sustained sales and earnings in global market places. While there will be an emphasis on examining issues from a business and/or investment perspective, the broader business-government context will also be considered. Throughout, the focus will be on practical, rather than on solely academic applications.
