Discuss the poem using approaches and terminology that we have learned. Space will be given to scan (scansion meter and rhythm), comment on stanza form (ex. Figurative language: metaphors, imagery, alliteration, conceits, rhetorical figures (zeugma, parallelism repetition) 30% -- 3 short passages of poems we have studied i. Commentary on each passage: identify stanza, metre, rhythm, rhyme scheme, and any at work literary devices (rhetorical devices, alliteration) 40% -- fiction: write an essay on a short-story i.
