Heavy component of oil in our food production. Energy and economic growth are linked: as an economy expands so does energy use, consumption of energy is an indicator of this growth, energy price rises growth goes up. Energy consumption per capita: can/usa consume allot due to transport and climate costs, top consumers of energy, are those who are in extreme climates. Inputs outputs: allot ends being wasted, how can we increase energy efficiently in the transformation of energy. Why is oil so popular: high density of fuel, hard to substitute oil out, versatile product, easily transportable. Natural gas: used in heating, gas reserves are found everywhere, difficult to transport, not really an exported commodity, start to displace out oil. Coal: consumed most by china, less density fuel. Reserves on oil: where do you go for oil, usa as top oil producer.
