Pizarro and his men take atahualpa, and kill all his men in the city heavily armed spaniards against lightly armed incas. Cortes receives his tribute and executes atahualpa. Moved to the coast and founded lima in 1535 the spaniards are thinking more in terms of trading. Technology and native allies were essential (ca ari, chachapoyas, and huncas) Not happy with the way things have unfolded; created a large inca army to attack and overthrow the spaniards it almost worked.
