Oldest juror old man is late for the first meeting. 11 men slowly raise their hands as they see others do it to vote guilty . 1 man votes not guilty, though he"s uncertain- he wants to talk about it first. Someone who thinks he"s guilty: we don"t owe him a thing . We have a job to do now, let"s do it . 11 guilty voters assume they have to convince the 12th that he"s guilty. Witness heard the accused yell i"m going to kill you , and then run away. The man could not have heard the yelling over the train passing by. The older juror thinks the man just wanted attention. The boy"s story was flimsy - he couldn"t remember details. Woman across the road swears she witnessed the incident through the window.
