Document Summary
Systemic= high pressure to body: there are 4 valves in the heart!!!, the mitral/ bicuspid valvel is between la and lv, tricuspid is ra and rv, there is another ventricle at the exit of the left ventricle between aorta and left ventricle aortic valve, and another= pulmonic valve between lv and pulmonary trunk, note the fibrous ring (ct) and insulator between the atrius muscle and ventricular muscle, below the fibrous ring and above it, consists of muscle cells! In a heart attack, the cardiac muscle dies ventricle contracts, high pressure in ventricle is no longer counteracting the pull of the valves regurgitation replace valve with another that doesn"t depend on the chordae tendinae: note myocardium epi etc. there is a layer of cell ont eh inside surface of the heart consisting of endothelial cells endocardium, pericardial sac tough fibrous sac that the heart sits in. in between epi and sac is a space containing pericardial fluid.
