Gender is treated as a question of difference. If genders are intrinsically different, how can you make them equal: gender neutrality liberal political theory classical feminism. Women = men treat them the same. Notion of equal treatment depends on sameness it is just to treat likes alike, unlikes differently same surroundings under different social conditions. Difficult for women to be exactly like men. Injustice (even legally it is just) Unfair that all women have to be extraordinary in order to be. Why should we be the same as men? why are men the treated normally standard? the demand that women should be treated the same as men. Often assumed that the ways women are different are: special benefits/protection defects of women socialist political theory.
