A large part of national attributes is the political culture of a country. These are the dominant political norms, values and expectations within a country. These are identity related, they come out of conceptions of identity, origins, myths etc. Every society has its own identity and myths that they draw on for political culture and this political culture is socialised through generations through schools, churches, workplaces, families etc. Some scholars have argued in the past that this can have an impact on the propensity to fight war. Some cultures and ideologies tend to promote warlike attitudes or are more war prone. Historically, this is an issue because it is possible to argue that almost all cultures, religions, societies etc. have or have had wars in the past.
