Midterm stops at victim"s rights- morton reading not on midterm. Government pays for interest groups for language and equality rights. Tax payers are paying for a group they don"t agree with. Good because it gives them access to justice. Pro: many voices and opinions, more involvement within democracy. Cons: the wealthy take advantage if they are funded better. Lobbying is stronger in the us than canada. They appeal when the government doesn"t agree with the decision- most times the courts agree with the government- high 70%- majority of the time. They will appeal when they think they will win. When a legislation is changing and they don"t want. Like winning or losing an appeal based on the experiences in the court room. Businesses have an advantage and governments have an advantage. Experience and those who come before the court more often have an advantage to winning because they know the process too.
