PSYC 304 Lecture Notes - Lecture 3: Facial Expression, Amniotic Fluid, Gestational Age
Document Summary
Feedback 1: turn in your feedback that you sent to someone else. Could also mean after the baby is born. Some aspects of perinatal life affect how you develop later on. The things you can perceive just before and after you are born can affect your later development. Might impact how the child behaves which might impact how he or she is treated. It is reasonable to think that the kinds of things that are perceptible to the kid are later going to affect what it is capable of doing and what it is able to perceive in the future. The baby can touch parts of where it is. Expose the baby to a stimulus and watch for a reaction. Exposure followed by test to see if the baby can recognize the stimulus. Movement can be used as a dependent measure. If you were extracting amniotic fluid you could accidentally touch the baby with a needle and observe its reaction.
